Young Vocalists in Maine

The vision of Male House Rock is more than providing a day of quality entertainment; Male House Rock is also intended to enrich Maine’s communities through music. This vision will be accomplished as follows:

1) Introducing adolescent and teenage boys to the choral arts – There are many boys and young men who are willing and able to sing. Exposing them to the choral arts can help enrich their lives and help them make good choices during such a critical time period.

2) Strengthen Maine’s community of young male vocalists through education:

Workshops for students. The singers of The GrooveBarbers will hold workshops to teach students the intricacies of stage performance. We want to help students become the best performers they can be, helping to solve the mysteries of achieving that goal. These workshops are open to the public and are intended to enhance talents for local school programs as well as other community programs that involve students.
